WARRANTY

Martin Door Manufacturing (MDM) warrants to the original purchaser (owner) that MDM will repair or replace (at Martin’s option) any garage door section or hardware that is defective in material or workmanship pursuant to the terms of this limited warranty. This warranty is for installation of complete garage doors (sections manufactured by MDM and hardware manufactured/distributed by MDM) for single-family residential, residential condominium or similar single residential multi-family housing. This warranty does not apply to commercial, industrial or non-residential uses. All labor and freight costs associated with the removal and installation of any repaired section/section components, hardware or spring/spring components or windows will be the owner’s responsibility. We reserve the right to inspect and verify any claimed defect.

This warranty covers normal usage when the door has been installed and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. This warranty does not apply to any damage or deterioration caused by abuse or misuse, failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance as defined by the manufacture’s written maintenance and installation instructions, improper installation or handling of the garage door, fire, wind, hail, flood or any other acts of nature, failure of paint or finish applied after manufacture and distribution, alterations and/or additions to the door or extreme environmental conditions, including but not limited to: 1) areas subject to excessive salt atmosphere; 2) areas subject to fallout or exposure to corrosive chemicals, fumes, ash, cement dust, animal waste or foreign substances; 3) areas subject to water runoff from lead, copper or galvanic metal flashings; and 4) areas subject to excessive moisture, sand, trade winds and sandstorms. Our warranty shall not cover any damages resulting from normal wear and tear or claims with respect to any products that in any way or degree have been altered, processed, misused or improperly handled or installed. Additionally our warranty does not cover the springs, bottom section and any components on the bottom section in the Middle East Region.

FINISH SYSTEM LIMITED WARRANTY:

MDM warrants the sections of the models listed above against paint finish cracking or peeling (losing adhesion) as follows: in residential single family installations for the years designated above from the original purchaser’s installation date, in all other residential installations pursuant to the terms of this limited warranty. Finishing system warranty does not apply to non-MDM finished doors. Any non – MDM applied paint, stain, varnish or coating applied by or through the direction of the Owner voids the MDM finish warranty.

If your Martin steel / aluminum door sections rust completely through due to the paint or powder coated finish cracking or peeling, Martin Door will replace those sections during the warranty period listed above. Surface rust, chips, paint scratches, powder coat natural finish aging or fading are not covered under this warranty. Color match on replacement section(s) is not warrantied nor guaranteed.

HARDWARE AND COMPONENTS LIMITED WARRANTY:

MDM will repair or replace (at Martin’s option) any garage door hardware, section or section components, spring and/or spring components that are defective in material or workmanship for the time periods listed above. The hardware warranty applies to standard lift and low clearance applications only (excludes special lift applications).

INSULATED WINDOWS LIMITED WARRANTY:

Insulated glass is warrantied for a period of three years for material obstructions of vision resulting from film formation, dust or moisture collection between the interior surfaces of the insulated glass window. No warranty is available for clear glass or acrylic.

All other warranties expressed or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are hereby expressly excluded and disclaimed.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you, This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province. To make a claim under this warranty, contact MDM immediately in writing at the address listed below. Warranty claim must include a complete description and photograph of the issue, proof of original ownership and evidence that MDM’s maintenance instructions have been followed. Response may take up to two weeks from receipt of a warranty claim. Upon receiving the claim, MDM, may at our discretion, instruct the purchaser to return the specified door section or part(s) thereof to the nearest MDM facility, shipping prepaid.

WARRANTY REQUIREMENTS:

• This warranty is to the original owner. The installation at the original location.
• Acceptable proof for your warranty claim: Your original dated sales invoice for the new Martin Door, which was purchased by your from an authorized Martin Dealer or your new home purchase agreement with dated closing, verified by an authorized Martin Dealer. Garage Door Openers
